Holy light is the outcome of the necessity to go beyond the divisions generated by religions and the consequent identification of those who feed them; it developed as a result of a confrontation with a Bayefall named Amdy Bachir Sy, with whom I was able to go deep into the African spirituality and understand the root of it. This work had remained "unfinished" and unreleased until Marco Bissoman invited me to take the opportunity to reconsider this EP and offered to remix it with the addition of new elements, to which I gave my consent. At a later stage Hairl Dub joined in and completed the work by inserting dub sounds and dub versions, which we hope will make this EP something interesting. It is by mere chance and not because it was necessarily sought after or intentional, that Bissoman, Hairl Dub and U-Shepherd Dread all share the same root: Sicilian blood. It is therefore with extreme pleasure that from Palermo we started a vibration that passed through Bologna (where Hairl resides) and on to Abbiategrasso (home of U-Shepherd) and so forth to reach Caen as a final destination. In Caen Pablo Jean Paul Dub will be the recipient of this vibe from Sicily, a European Africa, to make it resound in Normandy.
